Cumberland 56, Stonewall 43

On November 30, 1866, the Cumberland club defeated the Stonewall club by a score of 56 to 43. This appears to have been a very high scoring game, even by the standards of the time.

“Base Ball–The match game of base ball, which was played yesterday between the Stonewall and Cumberland, resulted in a victory for the latter, by a score of fifty-six to forty-three.”
